Favoured by nature, Danang is located among the three World Cultural  Heritage: Hue, Hoi An Ancient Town and the My Son Sanctuary. Danang is a  place that happily and efficiently serves as a point of departure to  all that this area has to offer. Danang is not only the center of the  three world heritage sites but also has many beautiful landscapes that  visitors can hardly forget after visiting.<br />

The once arduous Hai Van Pass has been dubbed one of Vietnam’s great  wonders. Son Tra Peninsula is an ideal rendezvous for tourists. Under  Son Tra’s foot, the ecological preserves of Suoi Da, Bai But, Bai Ran,  Bai Bac, and Bai Nom, among others, provide tourists with many choices  while immersing themselves in a splendid dawn or a quiet sunset. The  record holding ecological area of Ba Na – Suoi Mo in people’s minds, is  for the centre of Vietnam, much like Da Lat of the south, and Sapa of  the north. Close by there are also the legendary Marble Mountains, "Nam  Thien Wonder."<br />

In Danang, one should not miss the dreamlike Han River and the Han River Bridge – the first swing-bridge in Vietnam – and the pride of Da Nang’s people. The Han River Bridge is a symbol of new vitality, the city’s growing aspirations which are driven by people’s contributions. The cool and breezy beauty of our picturesque river is magnificently framed by the Han River Bridge. The Han River Bridge and the Thuan Phuoc Bridge, and the now being constructed Dragon Bridge not only assure more convenience for transportation and tourism but also stimulate the potential economic activities of the large eastern area of the city. They are also becoming a cultural legacy from Da Nang’s people today to later generations.<br />

Danang also possesses a source of endless tourism inspiration in its beaches. Besides its very beautiful and clean stretches of beach, Da Nang Port is also one of the busiest ports in Vietnam.<br />
<br />
Danang, by the Han River, is a charming coastal city and its hospitality has been making this place become a more frequented destination for domestic and international tourists.<br />

Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2011 (DIFC 2011)

1. Organization:

Organization party: Da Nang People’s Committee
Consultancy party: Global 2000 Company

2. Theme: The Shimmering Han River

3. Time: 2 evenings, April 29 and 30, 2011

4. Locations:

Fireworks launching site: Han River Port
Main stand: Tran Hung Dao Street pavement, opposite fireworks launching site

Alternate viewing for citizens and visitors available at these locations: Bach Dang Street, Tran Hung Dao Street, Han River Bridge, Thuan Phuoc Bridge…

5. Competition Teams:

English team (Jubilee Fireworks)
Korean team (Hanwha)
Vietnamese team (Danang city)
Italian team (Parente Fireworks A&C SNC)
Chinese team (Panda Fireworks)

6. Length of performance: Each team will perform for ~ 20-25 minutes depending on the Competition’s theme.

7. Prize:

01 first prize
01 second prize
01 third prize
02 consolation prizes

8. Performance evaluation criteria: Focus on these criteria:

Performance’s idea, variety & topic.
Range of color and varieties of different colors.
Performance’s originality and quality.
Effects scale and quantity.
Synchronization between sounds and images, matching of music with fireworks.
