Over 100 years of history, tradition and secrets handed down father to son till nowadays. Learning from the past, but always looking at the future.
The origins of the company “Parente Fireworks” date back to the end of the 19th Century, when the family founder, Mr. Romualdo Parente, following his immense passion for fireworks, decided to pursue this activity in the town where he lived. The Parente family was living in South East Italy in a mostly agriculture area. Its major activity quickly became the setting up of fireworks shows during religious event.
The first fireworks factory was actually built in the early 1900 and was engaged primarily in production and execution of small fireworks to be performed on Town Square. After a short pause during the World War 1, Romualdo restarted his activities and with the help of his seven sons established one of the largest factories in South Italy. During World War 2 the company had to stop its production once again, but in 1946 it restarted at full speed.
A constant growth based on team spirit in order to face more and more important deeds, achieving targets, which seemed impossible to overcome, although never thinking to have reached the last one.
In 1951, Antonio, one of the Romualdo’s sons, left the factory in South Italy to move to Melara, a town North East of Italy with its own pyrotechnic tradition. He soon co-operated with the local fireworks producer, performing small fireworks display until 1955. The following year, with the help of is two sons, he established a new factory of his own, which extended over a surface of 3000 m2. This factory consisted of four workshops.
As a result of the constant improvements and expansions, the production establishment now covers an area of about 100,000 m2 and consists of several buildings used as storehouses for equipment and vehicles sheds, in addition to about twenty workshops and sixteen authorized warehouse for the storage of both fireworks and black powder.
